“Brilliant, quick and easy. NeedleBay is the best!” — Les Cobbett, 82

This twin pack is two pocket cases, one for your daily insulin pen needles and one for your weekly pen, each showing at a glance whether that dose is done: a dose reminder for both pens with no app and no batteries. They are cases for needles, not cooling bags, and they contain no medicine.

One device for insulin and a weekly pen

If you take insulin every day and a GLP-1 pen once a week, you have two routines to keep track of. The twin pack is two NeedleBays, one for each pen. The daily case shows whether today’s insulin is done. The weekly case shows whether this week’s jab is done. One look at the clear lids tells you, and your partner or carer can see it too, without asking.

How each case works

Each NeedleBay holds four pen needles. Fresh needles wait in their bays with the seals on; you screw the pen straight onto the needle, inject, and screw the pen back into the same bay so the used needle locks inside until you reach a sharps bin. Each pen keeps its own needles, so nothing gets mixed up. No app, no battery, nothing to charge.

Which pens?

Any pen that takes a screw-on pen needle: insulin pens, and GLP-1 and weight-loss pens including the KwikPen. See which GLP-1 pens work with NeedleBay and needles for the KwikPen.

NeedleBay holds used needles only until you reach a sharps bin; it is not a sharps bin and does not replace one. Changing how much insulin you take after starting a weekly pen is a question for your diabetes team; NeedleBay only helps you see what has been done. Made in the UK. £2.95 UK delivery, 30-day returns.

Where does the used needle go?

Guidance asks you to take the needle off straight after the injection and leave the cover off. In NeedleBay it screws back into its own bay and locks there until it drops into a sharps bin. NeedleBay is not a sharps bin and does not replace one.
